Elijah is fed by ravens
The Spirit of the Lord knows how to fit men for an occasions. If we listen to God then we will know what to do. We need to be patient, & wait, there will always be something for us to do.
If we can’t work at least we can pray as long as our mind works. God told Elijah to hide & drink from the brook & that the ravens would feed him with bread & meat 2Xs a day. God likes to take care of us if only we would let him. There’s a river that never runs dry, a well of water that springs up to eternal life. Lord, give us that living water!
Colossians 2 pg 1319
Growth in the knowledge of Jesus Christ
We grow when we have knowledge of the truth as it is in Jesus. The stronger our faith the more we get from Christ. We need to be careful of the words from others they can be evil even if they sound good. We can’t be built up in Christ, or grow in him, unless we are first rooted in him, or founded upon him. Being established in the faith, we must abound therein, & improve in it more & more. We need to receive it with thanksgiving.
