Power/Success come from God

Psalm 89:1-29 pg 667
The Lord’s covenant with David
Though our expectations may be disappointed, God's promises are established in the heavens, in his eternal counsels; they are out of the reach of opposers in hell and earth. Our faith will bring comfort in our deepest trials. God’s almighty power, which took care of Egypt, will scatter our enemies of the church, while if we trust in God’s mercy we will rejoice in his name; for mercy & truths direct all he does. I’ve lived long enough to see this happen & it is a sad thing for sure.
II Corinthians 3 pg 1288
All power & success come from God
A faithful minister would want to see a successful ministry that shows in the lives of their people. Our hearts need to be humble & soft to receive the Holy Spirit. Our whole dependence is on the Lord, & all glory belongs to him alone. By our faith we go to Jesus Christ for grace & mercy to obtain forgiveness of sins & have eternal life.
