Are we blessed?

Psalm 34 pg 629
Praise & fear the Lord
If I hope to spend eternity in praising God, it is fit that I should spend much of our time here in this work. My prayers should help to calm my fears. Sometimes we can get our answers from the world, but we need to be careful looking to the world for answers! God will bless all that trust in him. I should have what is needed for the hand of God. Those who trust in themselves & think their own efforts are enough shall want; those who trust in the Lord will be fed. Those shall not want, who with quietness work, & mind their own business; can we do that?
Matthew 5 pg 1068
Who are blessed?
We won’t find happiness in the world or the next, if we don’t seek it from Christ thru his word. He teaches us what is evil & what is good. Here are the Beatitudes:
1. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of haven
2. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted
3. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
4. Blessed are those who hunger & thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
5. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
6. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
7. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
8. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven.
9. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you & falsely say all kinds of evil against
you because of me.
Yet there is nothing in our sufferings that can come close to God’s; but God will provide that if we lose for him. Shall not lose by him in the end.
Blessed Jesus!
May we find mercy from the Lord; may we be owned as his children, & inherit his kingdom.
